Chocolate Avocado Mousse

I’m a big fan of a chocolatey treat, and an even bigger fan when it’s mixed with fruit, and I know it’s in a form that’s nourishing my body. This recipe is super decadent and you really don’t need a lot to feel satisfied.

Avocados are an awesome food for your health. They are full of essential vitamins (vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C, and several B vitamins), minerals (potassium, magnesium), and fibre, as well as healthy fats. They are good for eye health, digestive health, skin and bones. They also have antiinflammatory properties and may be involved in cancer prevention. Because of the fat content and fibre, they are helpful for blood sugar control and helping you feel satisfied, but are calorie dense so portion control is important if you're concerned about calorie intake.

Ingredients

2 large avocado
2 Tbsp maple syrup (or sugar free alternative to make it keto)
½ C coconut cream
200g Whittakers dark choc (or sugar free alternative to make it keto)

Method

Put the avocado, maple syrup and coconut cream in a bowl and mix well.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler or in the microwave on a low heat.

Mix through the avocado mix until a consistent smooth texture.

Serve with berries or other fruits. A little goes a long way!
